When a company is deregistered, it ceases to exist as a legal entity and all of its outstanding property interests vest in the Commonwealth (if the property was held by the company on trust) or in ASIC.
If trust property is vested in the Commonwealth, ASIC acts on behalf of the Commonwealth to deal with that property.
